About the Event

Hannah Lorimer, the elder sister of John Henry Lorimer, was an all-round artist. She painted and sculpted, stitched and carved, taught lessons and accepted commissions from friends. In this conversation with Charlotte Lorimer, co-curator of Reflections: The Light and Life of John Henry Lorimer, Nicola Law will share what she discovered about the life, work and travels of Hannah Lorimer through her Masters in Museum and Gallery Studies at the University of St Andrews. Nicola has a passion for women’s history and telling ‘forgotten’ tales, especially of accomplished yet under-appreciated female artists.
