Charlotte Lorimer will be talking about John Henry Lorimer's portraits of Edinburgh characters to complement the Edinburgh City Art Centre Exhibition ‘Unmasked: Exploring Scottish Portraiture’. The talk is at 14.00 on Saturday 21st March 2026 at the Assembly Rooms, 54 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2LR. Booking is required, but there is no charge for the event. The artist’s great great niece Charlotte Lorimer tells stories of three sitters: antiques dealer Louis Joseph Butti (exhibited at the City Art Centre), women’s rights campaigner Sarah Elizabeth Siddons Mair, and University of Edinburgh professor John Stuart Blackie.
